Happy New Year every body! I wish you all the best!!!
So to start the new year of 2017 I thought I would do a little blog post on Alexander House Hotel. New Years Eve is Laurie and My Anniversary…it was 5 years this time! So we thought we would make it special and we celebrated it on the 1st January with a relaxing and best hangover cure at Alexander House Hotel . From Sussex, where we both live, it took us half an hour to get there, which was perfect because we did want to do a little get away but somewhere close and easy to get to… wasn’t to sure how we would feel the day after New Years eve’s night out getting on a plane…
So we spent 1 night here and we dined, used the spa and booked in for treatments.
What a beautiful place!
So we checked into our room which, one of our friends spoiled us with upgrading us to one of the Garden Suites, which are incredible! I didn’t take any photos, but click here to see what it was like, if you follow me on Instagram (ameliagtaylor), I did do a story of what it looked like and what we got up too. After getting into the room we went straight to the spa to chill in the jacuzzi, which was really lovely relaxing around the pool. A very couple zone place to be haha!
We went for dinner at one of the restaurants ‘Reflection Restaurant’ it is the cheaper one out of the restaurants but still so amazing! we started off with some bubblies to start of course. They were really helpful with myself being gluten free, when I warned about my allergy straight away they got me some gluten free bread as well as a gluten free menu.
For starters we shared Mussels in a white wine, garlic sauce, they were so delicious and a perfect portion to share!
For my main I went for the red mullet, with clams and spicy potatoes and Laurie went for steak.
We then went for a few drinks in the bar, and we were welcomed with a Happy Anniversary gluten free brownie! which was so thoughtful. The staff are so thoughtful and lovely here.
The next day I woke up to soya lattes, which were sent to our rooms, then we went and had breakfast and a couples massage too finish it off, which was so amazing!!! we didn’t want to go home! I can honestly say and recommend that it was such a lovely get away, everything was thought about, the staff, the rooms, the hotel its self! the spa, food & drinks, so lovely, we really had a good time. I would happily recommend to go, even for the day, such as afternoon tea. Check their website as they have offers and other locations
Happy New Year & Thank you for reading my post
lots of love
