Winter Coat Wishlist

Happy Sunday!!!!
You will get to know I have a little…tiny…obsession with coats, so I was very ready for it to start getting cold and to get the coats out. I have started purchasing some beauties so I thought I would share what I got, as well as what is on my wish list.
And hopefully it will help with information and tips to what styles, would suit you.

Sorry this might be a bit long…

This winter, the retro 80s trend is back in and has evolved from thrift shop to chicque. However this super soft, cosy number can be a tricky one to wear. These coats arent the most flattering, but are very cool and trendy. I have found different styles of this coat and looked at what works better with my figure and types of outfits I generally go for. Starting from simple and not so out there, this black New Look number is a good way to keep up with the trend and is very subtle.

I love the cocoon version and also the Topshop drape down oversized one,  I think these styles would suite best to any body shape, as the length is quite flattering.

I’ve seen this jacket everywhere and I am dying to get my hands on it, to wear to Uni or sleep in…however I do need to try it on. The reason is, I feel like it is a retro style and perfect for every now and then. It is really chilled but it is a coat you can’t dress up glamourous in. This is key for me, as I want to invest in garments which are versatile. However saying that I know a lot of you want to buy it as well as boys!

I came across this on Asos, this is more of a dressy version of the previous jacket, because of the shape. The only thought I have, is that it is quite boxy, so it potentially won’t work on various body shapes.

oooooo!!! this is the exciting part for me, I’m searching for the holy grail fur or feather coat for this AW17 and there are too many decisions to make. But I thought I would share brands and styles, to give a little helping hand. This trend is key for ‘dressing up the dressing down’!!!

Another way to add fur or feather to your outfit, is with attachable pieces. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen on my Insta-story I played around with this accessory and added it on top of my coat. You can get attachable cuffs as well. So if you can afford to by another coat this is another way with keeping the trend at an affordable price.  Zara Faux Fur Collar

I always always always go for black, as it is more affordable, you can get more wear out of it and it goes with everything. So with coats I try to purchase statement pieces, like this aviator. I am in love with my new velvet aviator and I havent seen any other pieces like this!!!
I went for a size small, so I can wear it with a jumper.

We all need a black coat in our wardrobe, as I said it is a must, so here are some black statement aviator/biker jackets to add to your wardrobe.
