& Other Stories New In Pieces

Weekly new in pieces edit at & Other Stories.

I have curated an edit of & Other Stories ‘new in’, which I adored. Perfect for this time of year and styled in a various of ways. Of course with the party season coming very swiftly, I have picked out a variety of garments which will be a truly worth investing in, as they are timeless. Pieces that can be styled for many occasions and from winter to the summer season.

Dresses

Sequin Dress: ‘Sequins give me life, when I am feeling flat’ Trinny Woodall. A sequin dress is a perfect key statement piece to have in your wardrobe for the party season. Not only am I planning for Christmas but this will work well in Spring and Autumn styling. The dress definitely speaks for itself, so no need to question how to accessorise. This dress can also be paired with a gorgeous black or a pop  coloured turtle neck, some gorgeous tights or knee high boots.

Black Puff Sleeve Black Dress The perfect little black dress, with statement characteristics of the puff sleeves and an elegant yet subtle metallic jacquard pattern. I adore this dress, so elegant and yet a classic.  I could imagine pairing it with a pair of statement coloured heels but as well as some boots, and tights.

Polka Dot Dress – This dress is so versatile for any time of the year. When it comes to investing into these pieces which are higher end prices of the high street fashion, it has to be worth its while. With & Other Stories, of course the quality it prestige, and an item that would last in your wardrobe for a very long time.

Jumpers

Navy Diamante Tassel Jumper This has to be my most favourite piece out of the edit. The jumper most definitely speaks for itself. So luxurious, cosy and chic!

How I would style this would be with a pair of straight jean trousers, or a silk midi skirt.

Cream Pearl Bottom Cardigan  This scream Christmas for me, this perfect angelic jumper. With being party season, of course why not style with a pair of sequin trousers or glitter trousers below!

Trousers

Black Glitter Flared Trousers The comfiest trousers for the party season. Perfect to lightening up a casual outfit, yet not too statement. What I love about these are they are so chic but so easy and comfy.

Coat

Styling a Blazer this AW19

When it comes to purchasing items, I try and create a collective edit which can be styled in a numerous of ways, especially ways I can wear on a regular basis to get much use out of the items. So I am back and getting into the swing of blogging again with an Autumn/Winter seasonal styling edit – ‘Styling a Blazer’. I always find this time of year so tricky to dress for so I think it is always best to wear layers for this indecisive weather.

The Blazer I am styling is from Princess Polly, but I believe the ways I have styled the blazer is applicable for different coloured/patterned blazers as well as jackets. I love the prints and colour of the blazer I am styling, a dark navy with pinstripe white and red checkered pattern. At this time of year, I feel bit lost and end up just wearing black, so adding a navy into the mix really lifts the outfit.

New Year Resolutions

Happy New Year’s Eve Lovelies, what a year it has been! I’ve got a feeling I’m gonna have a bit more luck than this year. Although with everything going on, it has been such an amazing year and I have been bless with the adventures I have been on and got to share with my closest friends and family! I was ever so lucky to go to Paris with Chanel, to Greece spontaneously last minute instead of Marrakech, Spain & Portugal with a lot of my family and friends, Festivals, LFW and all the amazing 21st in between! It has been such a wonderful year with a few hiccups along the journey!

So I wanted to talk about what I am thinking of my new year resolutions and how I am hoping to approach them. I think with new year resolutions it is like a ‘diet’, you can’t go cold turkey straight away and expect to not cave…you will! one step at a time is key, you can’t just jump into anything…if you can, you go gurrrllll!Continue reading “New Year Resolutions”

Why I’ve Become A Blogger?

Hello everyone,

I thought I would share why and how I decided to become a blogger and a little about me. I started initially getting into blogging a few years ago when I started University, I am studying Textiles BA (Hons). I have always been passionate about designing, this is evident of my art education so far and I wanted a space to express my thoughts and creations. I think blogging came naturally to me as I wanted a place to express my thoughts, I guess blogging to me, gave me a writing sanctuary where I could write and write without any grade being slapped all over it. I find it is also somewhere where I could write what I wanted in a more informal and personal way.

Quick Plant Base | Gluten Free Curry

Hello everyone so people saw on my instagram snapchat the other week I made a delicious curry and was requested how I made it, so I thought this week I would share with you guys.

so for the meal I made the other week, it made 4 portions which molly and I had for dinner and then the next day both for lunch. At the begining of the week I chopped up a whole butternutsquash into chunks to use with in the week so for this recipe you can choose either sweet potato, butternut squash or potato.

Recipe

  • Madras spice paste
  • 1 can of tomatos
  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1 sweet potato
  • Spinach
  • 1/2 red onion
  • Handful of spinach

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan put some oil and chopped up 1/2 red onion
  2. Chop the sweet potato into chunks and place in the microwave for a couple of minutes, to soften, this makes it quicker!
  3. once finished place the sweet potato in the saucepan to fry off with the onions
  4. After a couple of minutes put 2-3 tablespoons of the paste in the saucepan and stir, so that the onions and potato are marinated in the paste
  5. Add the can of tomatos and chickpeas with spinach
  6. leave to cook for 5-10 mixtutes, till you think it is ready.

serve with salad, rice or popadoms and enjoy!

This is the paste I have used, it seems to be all natural, no gluten and no dairy!
