New Year Resolutions

Happy New Year’s Eve Lovelies, what a year it has been! I’ve got a feeling I’m gonna have a bit more luck than this year. Although with everything going on, it has been such an amazing year and I have been bless with the adventures I have been on and got to share with my closest friends and family! I was ever so lucky to go to Paris with Chanel, to Greece spontaneously last minute instead of Marrakech, Spain & Portugal with a lot of my family and friends, Festivals, LFW and all the amazing 21st in between! It has been such a wonderful year with a few hiccups along the journey!

So I wanted to talk about what I am thinking of my new year resolutions and how I am hoping to approach them. I think with new year resolutions it is like a ‘diet’, you can’t go cold turkey straight away and expect to not cave…you will! one step at a time is key, you can’t just jump into anything…if you can, you go gurrrllll!Continue reading “New Year Resolutions”

Why I’ve Become A Blogger?

Hello everyone,

I thought I would share why and how I decided to become a blogger and a little about me. I started initially getting into blogging a few years ago when I started University, I am studying Textiles BA (Hons). I have always been passionate about designing, this is evident of my art education so far and I wanted a space to express my thoughts and creations. I think blogging came naturally to me as I wanted a place to express my thoughts, I guess blogging to me, gave me a writing sanctuary where I could write and write without any grade being slapped all over it. I find it is also somewhere where I could write what I wanted in a more informal and personal way.

Shoes For Autumn/Winter

Before I start, I just want to say a massive thank you for following me and all the support you have given me. I am getting so much good feedback so this is so amazing and helps me to keep going. Becoming a blogger is very challenging and very competitive in the new fashion and social media industry. As well as trying to balance this with my final year at University, health and generally having a life! haha. However I will try to post weekly or biweekly, depending on how busy I get, as my main focus for now is University. Anyway!
This week, I thought I would share my shoe collection, which I will be wearing throughout autumn and winter. I will be mostly sharing easy day to night shoes, varied from simple to statement. Additionally, I’ll be sharing items on my personal wish list, as I have been getting positive feedback from you guys about my shortlists and how you love seeing them for inspiration.

Trainers are a must have in my wardrobe as, I walk everywhere in them, they are easy to throw on and you can make a smart outfit trendy but look like you haven’t put any effort in. I think to say the least, my new Nike Air Forces are my favourite pair of shoes this year…and I was quite surprised. I got into Nike Air Forces, through my friend Ellie… I think she has 50 pairs! These are so trendy with the ‘platform’ style, so for me it was a must! These are also featured in my ‘Dressing Up The Dressing Down’ blog post.

The simple yet boring but go with everything are my fresh fresh white leather reeboks. I do love this pair, I personally feel they are quite flattering as it helps with my skin tone and brightens up my everyday black outfits.

‘Girrllll, Look at those wheels!’, pretty much the same comment I get when I wear these bad boys! I bought these over summer, ready and in full swing for Autumn! They give a different edgy vibe to the classic Chelsea boots, maybe more of a biker boot with all the buckles and studs.

I bought these from Zara maybe a couple of years ago, but they have been my number ones since day one! This sock style boot is every where, it’s very flattering and in trend. I love the 80’s chunky heel, love the vibes and very comfy!

These are my very sassy metallic gold boots, which I got from New Look in the sale for only £12!!! I got these a couple of months ago and saved them for winter! I can just imagine a pair of  leather trousers, a big faux fur jacket or a velvet long coat and then THESE BAD BOYS. These will make any outfit stand out.

Quick Plant Base | Gluten Free Curry

Hello everyone so people saw on my instagram snapchat the other week I made a delicious curry and was requested how I made it, so I thought this week I would share with you guys.

so for the meal I made the other week, it made 4 portions which molly and I had for dinner and then the next day both for lunch. At the begining of the week I chopped up a whole butternutsquash into chunks to use with in the week so for this recipe you can choose either sweet potato, butternut squash or potato.

Recipe

  • Madras spice paste
  • 1 can of tomatos
  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1 sweet potato
  • Spinach
  • 1/2 red onion
  • Handful of spinach

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan put some oil and chopped up 1/2 red onion
  2. Chop the sweet potato into chunks and place in the microwave for a couple of minutes, to soften, this makes it quicker!
  3. once finished place the sweet potato in the saucepan to fry off with the onions
  4. After a couple of minutes put 2-3 tablespoons of the paste in the saucepan and stir, so that the onions and potato are marinated in the paste
  5. Add the can of tomatos and chickpeas with spinach
  6. leave to cook for 5-10 mixtutes, till you think it is ready.

serve with salad, rice or popadoms and enjoy!

This is the paste I have used, it seems to be all natural, no gluten and no dairy!

Riddle & Finns | Gluten Free | Cocktails At Be At One

Happy Sunday, hope everyone had a lovely weekend and prepared for the week to come!

Here is another lovely Brighton restaurant review

As you may know I love going out for food and drinks, exploring different restaurants, cultures, fresh food and fun atmosphere. One place I have been dying to go to is a fish restaurant in Brighton, Riddle and Finns. The interior is so beautiful with an old english style with high tables, marble surfaces and on going candles. I went with my lovely friend Kieran and both our mums and what a fantastic night it was. We obviously had to start with some prosecco, the bread come and they were so kind, when they were aware I was gluten free, they came with buckwheat flour mini pancakes, which were so delicious and light.
(For people who don’t, know buckwheat is a gluten free alternative grain)Continue reading “Riddle & Finns | Gluten Free | Cocktails At Be At One”
